Review of Extension Program/Project Proposals | On February 25, 2025, Cavite State University – Extension Services hosted the Review of Extension Program/Project Proposals at the Technology Demonstration Farm in Cavite State University, Indang, Cavite. This event brought together key academic leaders, project proponents, and stakeholders to evaluate and enhance proposed extension programs aimed at empowering communities through innovative solutions.
The activity was attended by prominent figures in the Information and Technology Department, including Dr. Sherrlyn M. Rasdas, Program Leader, along with Dr. Ricky Jay A. Riel, Dr. Michelle C. Tanega, and Dr. Angelito Catajan, Jr., who each served as project leaders. The primary objective of the event was to promote and assess the presentation of 14 Extension Program/Project proposals submitted by representatives from various colleges, campuses, and RDES units within the university.
One of the presentations for extension programs was from CvSU Naic, the “TechBridge: Empowering Communities with IT Skills and Innovative Tools for Professional and Community Advancement,” forefronted by Dr. Sherrlyn M. Rasdas. This program is composed of three strategic projects, each addressing different community needs through technology and education.
The first project, TechEduBoost: Empowering Educational Community Through Information and Communication Technology, was spearheaded by Dr. Ricky Jay A. Riel.
The second project, TechPathways: Innovating Communication through Multimedia, led by Dr. Angelito Catajan, Jr., focused on advancing communication methods through multimedia tools.
The third project, TechReady: Empowering Educators and Students with ARDANs Mobile Technology for Disaster Risk Reduction, was helmed by Dr. Michelle C. Tanega.
The event provided a dynamic platform for constructive feedback, collaboration, and strategic planning, ensuring the effective implementation of these innovative projects. Through this activity, Cavite State University demonstrated its commitment to community empowerment, leveraging technology and education as catalysts for sustainable development.
