Cavite State University Naic, in collaboration with the Naic Tourism Office, conducted a consultative meeting on the conduct of IEC materials development on June 4, 2026, at the Liga ng mga Barangay Session Hall, Naic, Cavite. The meeting brought together members of the PAWIKan Project Team, IEC Team, Tourism Office, and MENRO to discuss and finalize plans for the upcoming Information, Education, and Communication (IEC) Development Training under the PAWIKan Extension Project.
The consultation focused on enhancing participants’ capabilities in developing effective advocacy materials, including brochures, promotional videos, and other communication tools using Canva, Canva AI, and Magic Studio. Discussions centered on producing engaging and informative IEC materials that support pawikan conservation and environmental awareness initiatives.
Ms. Quennie Sarah A. Derupe, Tourism Focal Person, shared valuable insights on integrating zero-waste practices and environmental sustainability messages into communication materials. She also provided recommendations on booklet and brochure specifications and proposed a collaborative IEC campaign among CvSU Naic, the LGU Naic Tourism Office, and partner stakeholders to further strengthen conservation awareness and promote local ecotourism initiatives.
The meeting underscored the commitment of all participating institutions to advancing environmental education, community engagement, and sustainable coastal resource management through strategic communication and partnership.
