Arts and Sciences Day | On January 9, 2025, the AquaBEST Building at CvSU Naic was filled with energy and excitement as students and faculty gathered to celebrate Arts and Sciences Day, themed “Assimilating Creativity and Competency for Sustainable, Life-long, Inclusive, and Gender-responsive Learning.” Organized by the Arts and Sciences Department in collaboration with the Gender and Development Office, the event was a dynamic celebration of creativity, inspiration, and academic excellence.
The event underscored the crucial role of arts and sciences in developing character, fostering critical thinking, and promoting inclusivity. Students from various General Education courses showcased their talents through captivating performances, engaging competitions, and impressive exhibits. It also highlighted the significance of gender equality in education, serving as a platform for advocating sustainable and gender-responsive learning.
The day commenced with an insightful seminar by Mr. Ariel Rivera, Head of Special Projects for Training and Development at Collective Minds Philippines, Inc., titled “Creative and Inclusive Learning through the Gender Lens.” His talk set an inspiring and inclusive tone for the day’s activities.
Following the seminar, students displayed their creativity and skills across various competitions, including Tulang Pasalaysay, Digital Storytelling Project: The Gender Spectrum, FITT 3 Modern Dance Competition, Festival Dance, and the Global Hospitality Booth with Booth Making Competition. Attendees were also captivated by Sine Saysay: A Social Kaleidoscope—Narratives of Local History and Social Transformation and the thrilling MATHFITTnik Challenge.
As CvSU Naic continues to advocate for a sustainable and equitable future, Arts and Sciences Day was a resounding success, encouraging participants to embrace innovation, creativity, and inclusivity.
