Today, March 12, 2026, Cavite State University Naic actively participated in the First Quarter Nationwide Simultaneous Earthquake Drill (NSED) organized by the Disaster Intelligence Warning and Alerting Center and mandated by the National Disaster Risk Reduction and Management Council (NDRRMC) through Memo No. 17, s. 2026.
Held at 3:30 PM and led by Campus Safety Officer Mr. Allan C. Guanlao, the drill engaged faculty, staff, and students in the AREA A protocol—Alarm, Response, Evacuate, Assemble, and Assess. Participants practiced the Drop, Cover, and Hold procedure before safely evacuating to designated areas, followed by group assembly and headcount.
The activity strengthened earthquake preparedness, coordination, and safety awareness within the university community, reaffirming CvSU Naic’s commitment to disaster readiness and resilience.
