Dr. Rossian V. Perea, Associate Professor 2 of Cavite State University Naic and Associate Member of the National Research Council of the Philippines (NRCP) Division VII (Engineering and Industrial Research), was conferred the 2025 NRCP Gabay Award during the Council’s 92nd Founding Anniversary celebration on December 10, 2025, at the Sheraton Hotel, Newport City, Manila.
The award, presented at the 3rd Annual Recognition Ceremony, honors Dr. Perea’s exemplary mentorship and leadership in research. She was recognized for leading the development of an ICT-assisted growth management system for mud crabs, an innovative technology that automates growth monitoring and improves data collection efficiency.
Dr. Perea was one of six awardees selected from different NRCP divisions. Her recognition highlights her significant contributions to engineering research, mentorship, and the advancement of technology-driven solutions that support research and industry development in the Philippines.
