An in-house service training-workshop on geographic information system was conducted last July 4-5, 2017 at the Speech Laboratory of CvSU Naic. Mr. Jesus Paolo B. Cullado, a graduate of Master Science in Aquaculture and the present head or Research Unit was the Speaker/Trainer.

The training was focused on the basic applications of Google Earth Pro and ArcMap 10.3 as a multi-disciplinary research tool. Participants were from the five faculty departments of the Campus (Arts & Sciences, Management, Teacher Education, Information Technology and Fisheries & Marine Science).

The training-workshop was composed of lectures and hands-on exercises. At the end of the training the participants were able to generate various maps integrating data from their field of interest. Furthermore, each department was able to draft and present a proposal integrating GIS on their field of specialization.
