Technology Transfer and Dissemination of Disaster Risk Management Mobile Apps | The Technology Transfer and Dissemination of Disaster Risk Management Mobile Apps event, held on March 12, 2025, at the College of Criminal Justice (CCJ), Cavite State University – Main Campus, was organized by the CvSU Emergency Response Airsoft Team (CERAT). This initiative combined the demonstration of disaster management mobile applications with hands-on Basic Life Support and maneuver training.
The primary objective was to introduce and promote the use of mobile technology in enhancing disaster preparedness and response. Participants, including CvSU Naic Information and Technology Department faculty members Dr. Sherrlyn M. Rasdas, Dr. Ricky Jay A. Riel, Dr. Michelle C. Tanega, Dr. Angelito Catajan, Jr., Mr. Henry Balanza, and Mr. Jomari M. Launio, alongside selected BSIT and BSCS students, engaged in the event. They explored the ARDAN’S Mobile Application for Disaster Preparedness, designed to provide real-time alerts, resources, and essential information during emergencies.
In addition to technological demonstrations, the participants underwent practical training in Basic Life Support and maneuver techniques. This comprehensive approach ensured attendees gained both theoretical knowledge and essential life-saving skills.
The event underscored the importance of integrating digital solutions with emergency response measures. By fostering collaboration between IT professionals, health responders, and the local community, it contributed to strengthening disaster resilience. The partnership between CERAT, the College of Criminal Justice, and the Information Technology Department of CvSU Naic exemplifies the university’s commitment to public safety and proactive disaster risk management.
