Inception Meeting | The Inception Meeting, held virtually on March 5, 2025, was organized by the CvSU Main Extension Service to formally introduce two significant extension projects to the university community. The Research Development and Extension Services (RDES) of Cavite State University Naic led the meeting for the following initiatives: “Seaside Success: Advancing Hospitality and Business Management with a Focus on Food Preparation in Brgy. Labac, Naic, Cavite,” led by the Management Department (MD). “Gabay Saliksik: Capability Enhancement for Responsive Public Elementary School Teachers,” a collaboration of the Teacher Education Department (TED) and Arts and Sciences Department (ASD). The event served as a platform for internal stakeholders to gain a clear understanding of the projects’ goals, significance, and expected outcomes. It also facilitated discussions on the implementation framework, roles, responsibilities, and collaborative strategies to ensure successful project execution. Key attendees included Ms. Racquel G. Agustin, OIC Director of Extension Services; Ms. Razelle Astudillo and Ms. Nancy Eugenio, Chairpersons and faculty members of TED, MD, and ASD; along with Ms. Royale P. Castro and Mr. Romel C. Hinahon. From CvSU Naic, the project leaders Ms. Abigail S. Limos (MD) and Dr. Ernesto A. Gutierrez Jr. (TED) provided valuable insights. Faculty members from the Management Department, Teacher Education Department, and Arts and Sciences Department, as well as staff from Procurement, also participated. During the meeting, the project implementation framework was comprehensively presented, outlining the activities, timeline, and milestones of each initiative. Participants were provided with detailed clarifications on their respective roles, responsibilities, and contributions. Emphasis was placed on sustainability and impact assessment strategies, ensuring long-term project success and community engagement. Furthermore, the discussion highlighted the importance of collaboration and support mechanisms, encouraging potential partnerships within and beyond the university.
