On March 31, 2025, CvSU Naic hosted the Philippine Fisheries and Coastal Resiliency Role-Playing Game (FishCoRe-RPG) in collaboration with the Bureau of Fisheries and Aquatic Resources (BFAR) Region IV-A CALABARZON.

Students and faculty from the Fisheries and Aquatic Sciences Department actively participated in this immersive, scenario-based game that aimed to increase awareness of sustainable fishing practices and coastal resiliency.

Key BFAR officials, including Regional Director Sammy A. Malvas and Regional Planning/Information Officer Ms. Erika R. Isleta, joined CvSU Naic Campus Administrator Prof. Armina B. Pugay; FASD Chairperson Ms. Quennie M. Bilugan; and Campus FishCoRe Project Coordinator Dr. Jesus Paolo B. Cullado to champion the FishCoRe Project and its vision of resilient coastal communities.

The activity highlighted the university’s vital role as an official FishCoRe project partner under the Modern and Resilient Livelihood Investments (MARLIN) component, helping build a sustainable future for our fisheries sector.
